We also have late evening appointments available on Mondays and Tuesdays after 6.30pm - see the appointments page for details.

The Medical Centre provides full medical cover to all of our patients. The services of Local Care Direct are used for out of hours cover. To access this service telephone 01924 371011 where you will be given further details.

Calls will be answered and dealt with as quickly as possible between 08.30 and 18.30 Monday - Friday. When a Doctor is required in an emergency and the surgery is closed a recorded message will give you further details.
If the situation is less critical and you are unsure of what to do call NHS 111, which is a 24 hour health advice line, staffed by nurses and health information advisors. The telephone number for this service is 111. You can also visit NHS Choices online at www.nhs.uk which offers a range of information from what to do if you’re feeling ill to opening times of your late night pharmacy.

Guide to GP Care Wakefield
King Street Health Centre, King Street, Wakefield. The Walk-in Centre is open Monday-Sunday 10.00-22.00.
The Walk in Centre will only deal with urgent care and not routine issues.
